Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez is a Cuban-American television arbitrator on Caso Cerrado and Ana Polo Rules. Ana was was raised in Cuba's Havana. She moved to Miami with her family around the age of 2 following her move from Havana. In Habana, Cuba, Ana Maria Polo hosts of the prestigious Telemundo program "Caso Cerrado" which was the first Spanish programming to be nominated for a Daytime Entertainment Emmy(r) Award. It was also in 2015 ranked as the number one Spanish-language program in the 4pm hour across all important demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. After graduating at Florida International University's political science program, she relocated to Havana and lived there for 20 years. Then she earned a PhD in Law at the University of Miami, and worked for 20 years in Miami. After earning her PhD from University of Miami in law and being a lawyer at the bar in Miami city for 20 years. Polo was first exposed to viewers on television in 2001 on Telemundo's program Sala de Parejas (2001) along with other court shows in which the legal skills of her was showcased. Literature and Awards in 1958, she published Los Hijos Muertos. This novel earned her the Critic's Prize and the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute arrived in the United States of America from Spain, 1960. Polo, who is also diagnosed with breast cancer and cancer survivor, frequently speaks out about her cause. Polo has been a vocal activist for LGBT rights all of her life. She has a law degree from University of Miami. University of Miami School of Law in Florida, and is an Florida Bar Member.
